The first image above is a detail image showing one of three lounge areas inside the “Arena”.
Last Monday I went to Lidingö and Skogshem & Wijk hotels and conferences. It is a fantastic building from the 1950s. Colorful lavish interiors and the view of the Stockholm archipelago are, to say the least, impressive. I also fell in love handslessly with beautiful decorations on the walls of the entrance, it is the ceramics of Gunilla Palmstierna Weiss which is represented at the Moderna Museet. I myself have worked with ceramics occasionally for many years and have a warm sense of craftsmanship.
I am hired to document, among other things, some of the 28 new hotel rooms that have different themes as well as the impressively large “Arena” which seats 550 guests.
Husqvarna Sweden started their 3 day conference at the hotel and they were welcomed by hotel manager Gunilla Hofstedt from the stage.
