The photograph is one of 5 different motifs from my photoshoot at the Biological Museum in Stockholm. The story behind the photograph is that I fell in love with the Biological Museum while visiting last winter, I was stunned by the light and the building it self. The museum is one of Stockholms most forgotten, yet most historic museum. It was built in 1893.
It’s located in Djurgården. It exhibits a collection of stuffed ( with arsenic) European / Scandinavian birds and mammals in dioramas. The lovely background was created by artist Bruno Liljefors. The museum is closed now and will probably be torn down. It was very dangerous to move around inside the exhibition so I was fully protected and Julia the model was not allowed to move at all due to arsenic dust.
