Caroline contacted me in May 2020 and told me that she and Calle would get married at Häringe Castle in August and that they had been recommended by the castle to contact me.
Could I come and capture their wedding? We met on a sunny afternoon at Häringe Castle, they got to look at my latest wedding book, and I got a sense of which direction I should go with them. I remember being struck by how beautiful Caroline was, and that she is the gallery Director of Stockholm’s coolest art gallery Carling Dalenson-Art Advisory & Gallery. Calle was so nice, and their black poodle Axel also joined in the meeting. The wedding day came with heavy rain, it was beautiful and atmospheric with the wedding ceremony in the castles Rotunda. I really prefer to photograph in the rain, the light becomes so soft and the people get closer to each other in some way. The wedding dinner was held on the terrace above the pool which was lit up by floating LED lights. I snuck out in the rain later in the evening to capture the atmosphere, it felt arty and atmospheric.
A few words about Kicki:
We are really very happy with everything, Kicki immortalized and managed to capture so many great moments from our big day and was very good at blending in throughout the day and evening. Incredibly comfortable and easy to work with, humble, attentive and really listened to our desire to keep everything as relaxed and natural as possible. Despite many last minute decisions and changes, nothing was ever a problem for Kicki but she solved everything on the road and in place no matter where we were and did. And she came up with many fun ideas and solutions in the tricky weather conditions and made the best of everything. You get so happy and warm every time you look at the pictures and are reminded of the day.
A few words about the wedding:
Lacks words to be able to really describe the day, so warm, loving and nice in every way. We could not have wished for a better day.
