I was specially invited to exhibit at a wedding fair in 2020 when Kristina and Erik visited me in my booth. They took my card and returned shortly afterward with the booking. When we started planning for the photoshoot, they asked me to take the wedding portrait at Riseberga monastery, a particularly beautiful and mythical place.
They arrived together with the maid and best man, umbrellas and flowers, lovely smiles and laughter. I took some of the pictures with my dear Leica camera, wanted to keep it “tight. We joked a little, they were so lovely in front of the camera, said I could do what I wanted. They told me that they met in the district court, they are both lawyers “imagine we are getting married today, it’s crazy”. After the photoshoot, we jumped into our cars and drove to the church. Families and friends were waiting there. I introduced myself to the priest and asked for permission to take pictures.
He said he had never heard the photographer ask, that he felt safe “do what you want”. I got a funny picture of him after rings and kiss, he bursts out laughing, so happy. The bride and groom were cheered for and then went on to the wedding dinner in a beautiful car with a private chauffeur. We hugged goodbye with corona distance and waved happily to each other.
I received an email:
We had an absolutely fantastic wedding day in the most beautiful weather, together with my parents, Erik’s sister and our friends. But it’s also a little sad that everything’s over now. I’ve been longing for this day for so long. But Erik, who is a wise man, says that it is not over at all, but that it is now that it begins. We are married as well. 😊
We have downloaded the pictures and think they are absolutely fantastic. You are really so talented and we are so happy that we got to spend a little time with you on our wedding day!
