After all these years as a wedding photographer I have been commissioned by quite a few happy couples, and the word spreads, or well that’s how clara & Ben found me. On July 1st, a warm and sunny summer day I was booked for classic wedding packet, a 5 hour mission.

My day started as the bride and her bridesmaids where getting ready at Fiholm Fideikomiss a privately owned mansion in Västerås, the same place where the reception was going to be held later that day. As the girls where getting ready the groom and his 11 groomsmen where enjoying lunch in Stockholm city before heading to the church. The ceremony was held at Rytterne Church with 155 guests including the groom’s British family and friends. Everything was well orchestrated by Fanny Staaf.

After the wedding the newleyweds jumped into the brides father’s yellow vintage 1960’s Volkswagen Cabriolet, with me perched in the back. This car has been a dream car of mine  since I was a little girl, so it gave me some extra energy for the rest of the day. Clara drove the car and we stopped at a beautiful old ruin for a quick portrait session, the couple only booked me for the classic wedding reportage wich meant that I would be missing the dance, so I had them rehearse their dance by the ruins. We then drove back to Fiholm for the party where all the guest’s where waiting and mingling over some prosecco and hors d’oeuvres.

After the group photos the toastmaster invited everyone in for dinner. A troubadour was entertaining the couple and guests, and just before i headed home for the day I got Ben and his groomsmen to come out again for a fun group picture.
