Sortera

Everything is connected in life. I met Conny & Helena Ryk in 2012 when they hired me to photograph their wedding at Yxtaholm Castle, a three-day fairy tale wedding. Conny contacted me again in 2014, he wanted to hire me to strengthen his brand Sortera. In 2007 Conny started the company together with a mate during their last year in high school, and it has grown from a small company to a well-established waste contractor in the Nordic market. Sortera currently has approximately 8000 active customers in the Nordic region.

I was hired to photograph the entire company, a project that took 2 weeks full time. Summer 2014 I stood aloft in an attic without walls or a roof on a property at Kungsholmen to take photos of a crane lifting Sortera construction bags. I documented the collection of hazardous waste and building materials, containers, bags and more, all that are now visible on Sortera.se. Later I also photographed staff and offices. The photographs resulted in a new website, ads, cardecor and printed matter, today Sortera is collaborating with Johannes Lien (whose wedding I have also photographed).

This is what Conny says when I ask him how my pictures are used today: “We use your pictures on our website, on cars and our printed material across the whole of Sweden.”
