Last Saturday Annette & Filip helped my Leica and I kick off wedding season with a beautiful wedding. It was like a fairytale wedding, almost regal. The day started with preparations, Annette got ready in the suite at The Grand Hotel with both a hair and makeup artist. She put on her gorgeous gown, and then her father came to meet her and we got into the car with the driver and we headed up to the church. Annettes father jokingly said “take me to the church on time” as he pulled out his pocket watch. We arrived on time at The Oscar’s Church in a burgundy vintage Daimler. After the ceremony the 150 wedding guests got on the Waxholm III Steamboat for a ride while the happy couple and I got into the car and headed to Skeppsholmen to take some pictures. And as you say, “it’s all about the dress”, yet Annette had this amazing train that I wanted to capture. The reception was then held at The Grand Hotel, where the butler said “The Mirror Hall is set for a VIP wedding”. After dinner it was time for cake and speeches and then it was time to dance, and the couple twirled around the room for their first dance.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season has to offer. I’m so grateful for these fantastic jobs as it’s such an important day that I get to partake in, and help preserve these amazing moments and memories by capturing them as photographs for you to keep.
